So, after zepherman, is there anything for second place?

Something tells me that even 2nd place will look like 23rd. What the hell I'll post pics in a few days.

And no chuckling. My 19" circa 1987 TV is freakin awesome. Waaaaay better then that over bloated 70" dream TV that zepherman has Who wants THAT kind of TV in there house anyway..... Well okay maybe me.

Nice setup Z

Not to detract from Zepherman’s gorgeous setup, but when voting for a home theatre, there’s more to take into consideration besides the price and size of the gear. Although I appreciate Zeph’s theatre for more than its price tag, it’s not my style, so I would take that into consideration when voting for the HT in this category. If Zeph and I were given $10K to use on a theatre, our end results would probably look very different—we’d probably have the same sub, though.

I laughed so hard my side hurt, gotta love the humor Thanks guys. I love the light hearted nature of this forum.

Thank you for your thoughts on my HT setup. And while it may not be to everyone's liking, the room as it is works pretty well. Of course my ultimate would be to have a dedicated theater room built, but that's still many years away.

But I do see where pirate is coming from, even people that may not have the most expensive separates, largest HDTV, etc. still have their own slice of AV heaven with their setups. And some of these systems actually sound pretty darn amazing. I guess It's what we all have to work with, room size etc. that factors in.

I know that back 10 years ago, before I moved into this new house, the living room at my previous home had a much smaller living room. So back then there was no way a 70 inch screen, and 6 ft tall speakers would have fit into that room. So I got the best that I could get for that room which was a 55" HDTV and Paradigm Reference speakers. And for that room the end result was sight and sound that was phenomenal.

So I have to say that we all have some truly amazing HT setups. They're all very different but very nice nonetheless.

And pirate glad to know you'd have the same sub.

Seth

Well the center is hung and I have a new receiver so I think I need to update my pics and equipment listing.

Uh, I would like to see the votes before I vote for anyone but myself...you know, just to make sure I get a vote...

Gotta give my Vote to Zeph, it is the prettiest non projector setup I have seen.

Though I like like Derb's setup a lot, and his library, you just have to go with Zepherman's HT. That Sony KDS-R70XBR2 70" SXRD HDTV brings tears to my eyes, it's so beautiful.

Yeah i guess i shall keep my HT away from these votes. With puke green walls and Dinosaur wallpaper form '93 i just don't see it as a winner. Beside look at the mob of votes for Zepherman (which i am part of)

I just checked out the new pix in your HT system thread, love the new receiver! Looks like you should be set for a while.

Also, don't count out your HT, it has to be one of the most original I've seen. I mean you've gotta love the retro Dino wallpaper.

And thank you for your vote.

I was actually gonna vote for Sub' since I don't care for the sound of those ML's in Zeph's setup. However, given all the 'other' stuff, I guess it's a given that Zeph' will walk away with this one.

And with all due respect, coming from me, I think this shot sums up this threads competition. (all in good fun fellas!)

Zeph' !! I'm shocked!

Conrats dude, and to paraphrase someone I know elsewhere....what room is that in? The west or north side of the house? My night vision goggles are a little wonky at the moment.

Thank you Iggy. And thanks to everyone who voted.

As for the question, the room is on the east side of the house.
