Thanks! I love being in a basement. When I turn the lights out, it is almost pitch black in the room. Also, I can pretty much turn it up as loud as I want and it doesn't bother anyone as long as the basement door is closed.

It goes well with the 8-bit Nintendo sitting right next to it.

There are a few things I have on VHS that I don't want to spend the money to have them put on dvd. At any rate, I've had that thing for 6 years now and it was a gift from my mom. No use throwing it away.

Looks like you can pump iron and watch TV at the same time.

Regarding the STR-DG1000, is the front brushed aluminum? Most of the pics I find online of it make the unit look like plastic.

Not sure, I'll have to check when I get home. What I do know is that it weighs a ton.

The weight set was left there by the previous tenant. I haven't bothered to take it out, but it comes in handy in the winter if I don't want to go to the gym in the snow.

Did you steal the display description for your HD-DVD player?

Nice setup. Love the old systems. Memories.

Interestingly enough, that's how it came out of the box. I am a bit OCD when it comes to labels on things. My Jeep had the little popout label from the glove compartment telling you about the airbag and babies not being up front with the childseats last for about 5 years. People always wanted to rip it off, but I wouldn't let them. It finally rotted off and I was sad to see it go. The green "push here" stickers are still on the seatbelt adjusters.

I get OCD with books too. I hate dogears on pages, and I try not to bend the spine of the book.

This I can get on board with. The stickers...yeah....your normal and don't let anyone else tell you different.

Awesome looking theater! Seeing all of the generations of Nintendo Consoles really made it seem like home. Gotta love the 8-bit NES, the SNES, and the N64 there. I really need to take a few photos of my "home theater" in my new home. I've got me a nice little 42" LG 1080p LCD TV and some cheap, but still good, speakers that have made a nice, comfortable home theater. I just don't have the classic consoles around like you do.

It is brushed aluminum from what I can tell.

Thanks for the compliment, jdurg!

Oh, and Iggy, I ask you provide the proof to your accusation. And no sketchy photoshop stuff either.

Yeah, the original NES still works well. Of course you have to used the tried but true method of blowing on the cartridge before puttin it into the console. The game I've been playing is Final Fantasy, the original. I even got the Nintendo Power Strategy guide to go with it.
