Hope you guys like it. I just have to get the raceways to cover up the spear wire, run some under the carpet and get the seating settled and I will be done!

That's a lot of LOTR collectibles!

Looks great Cherno, but what's with that showerhead hanging from the ceiling in pic #2?

Give us your thoughts on the Sammy please.

the overhead light was already there but I really like it. They are 3 fully pan and tilt halogen lamps. They are nice when you want to adjust for glare.

I really like the sammy. The only thing I don't like is the ocassional "heat bloom" effect around moving objects. This due to the 120 hz interpolation I believe.

I was just playing dude.

I love the fact you got a bar and poker table right there in the same room. That is cool.

Cool room and I love the maps!

It takes a real man to put a gamecube next to a PS3!

Updated pics! The furniture just came in and the room is finally done. Since I posted the first set I have organized the cables and painted the raceways, installed some wireless LED sconces and of course got the seating in.

It's been a couple years in the making but I am really happy with the way it turned out. Last thing I could potentially do is sell my current receiver and get the new onkyo 606 that supports the lossless formats.

Congrats Cherno, looks like a great room to hang out in!

Now, what is with that bottom step (pic with Kasha)? Is that where you hide your porn? What if Kasha leaves a dead mouse under there? How will you get it out?

Again...looks fantastic!

You are so lazy that you have an electric motor to recline your seats?!

That's awesome.

Any plans of switching from a TV to a projector? It looks like you have the space etc. for it.

Hehe actually I asked about getting it without the motor, but it was only like 40 dollars less. So why the hell not get it?

Actually I don't think I'll ever have the intention to go to a projector. Maybe it is the one i've seen but it wasn't impressive so it turned me off to the quality of them.

How does a 1080p projector image compare to that of LCD and Plasma? I think the only reason I might want to someday is if I really want a large display but the cost would be prohibitive on a TV. I don't really think I have that much more room in that space anyway for more picture. I might be able to go up to 60/62in on a tv someday but that might be pushing it.

As for the bottom stair... that's where I keep the children who have been naughty. The underneath of the stairs are open on the other side of that wall so that open slot at the bottom step isn't a problem. I have a secret place for teh pr0n stash

I can attest to the image quality of both the JVC HDILA, and the Sony SXRD projectors. They are fantastic once they are properly setup. I'd say they rival any plasma, or LCD in terms of PQ when in the right environment. And, there is something about having to measure your screen in feet
